My first Nova Scotia Snapper (20150613)
The bride and I were headed to Mom's for a visit when I spotted my first Nova Scotia Snapper. It was in peril and I knew I had to get it off the highway. So we pulled over at the end of the guardrail. I grabbed my camera and took a few shots prior to attempting the rescue.
As I walked to where I could get parallel to the beauty, I kept watching as car, after truck went zooming by.
I finally got to a position where I could grab her in an opening in the traffic, luckily it looked like she had sustained no injuries.
I took one last shot of her as I had her safely off the highway and behind the guardrail so she could continue her journey safely.
And this is how my journey started to help in protecting the turtles of this nation.
